Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 28 min: Tullis-Joyce has gone down with what looks like a calf injury but she is back to her feet after receiving some treatment.

GOAL! Chelsea 2-0 Roma (Kaptein 26)

After mounting pressure Chelsea find the back of the net once again, it’s a one-touch finish.

Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 26 min: Brand is tripped by Awujo and so she wins a free kick in a good position. It is a great delivery from Bacha and it heads to the far post but no one is there to turn it goalward.

Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 24 min: United set up a counter attack but the chance is wasted with Naalsund’s long pass having too much on it.

Chelsea 1-0 Roma, 22 min: Babajide does well to win a corner from Charles with Giugliano the taker. The delivery isn’t the best but it does take scrambled defence to clear it.

Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 20 min: Riviere concedes another corner and she takes a hit to the back for her troubles but she is okay to play on. Bacha is the taker again but the eventual shot from Engen is wide.

Chelsea 1-0 Roma, 19 min: Pandini takes a knock from Peng, who comes out of her goal to defend the chance but no foul is committed and the Roma player is okay to continue.

Man Utd 0-1 OL Lyonnes, 17 min: United have responded well to conceding, despite the French club continually peppering their goal with shots. They really need to be tight defensively now, another goal would be a mountain to climb for United.

Bergamaschi was running back towards her own goal and accidentally heads in a cross into her own goal.

GOAL! Chelsea 1-0 Roma (Bergamaschi OG 13)

So many goals happening at once.

That penalty came because of a handball in the box by a Bayern Munich star, the worst start for the visitors.

PENALTY! Atletico Madrid 1-0 Bayern Munich (Boe Risa 13)

A very well taken penalty see the Spanish club ahead.

Chelsea 0-0 Roma, 12 min: The hosts have been the stronger side so far in terms of creating chances but Roma look more deadly in front of goal when they have popped it into the area. The deadlock remains though.

Man Utd 0-0 OL Lyonnes, 11 min: Riviere concedes a corner with a vital header. Bacha sends it in but Williams heads clear and United have to defend again as it’s sent back in but eventually the danger is quelled.

Man Utd 0-0 OL Lyonnes, 9 min: Heaps tries to find Hegerberg in the box but the ball runs to Tullis-Joyce.

Man Utd 0-0 OL Lyonnes, 7 min: There is a lot of football being played in the midfield at the moment with the French side finding it difficult to breakdown United’s defence. Hegerberg crosses into the box but Dumornays’s effort is over the bar.

Chelsea 0-0 Roma, 6 min: Chelsea have an early corner with Macario over the set piece. The delivery is a good one but it’s rebuffed. It’s sent back in by Baltimore but her cross has too much on it and the chance is gone.

Chelsea 0-0 Roma, 5 min: It’s not just the hosts getting in some early pressure with the Italian side rifling off a shot which forces Peng into a jump but it’s over the bar.

Man Utd 0-0 OL Lyonnes, 4 min: Tullis-Joyce is back between the sticks for the hosts this evening but she is wearing a face mask to protect her eye socket after she fractured it which kept her out of a few matches.

Chelsea 0-0 Roma, 3 min: Chelsea have an early chance with Baltimore whipping it towards goal but it is narrowly wide.

2 min: All the teams finding their feet this evening, no one taking any early chances.

The Manchester United manager Marc Skinner said Jayde Riviere can become the world’s leading right-back, as he threw praise on the Canada international during Tuesday’s pre-match press conference.

Riviere, who is set to go head-to-head with the in-form OL Lyonnes winger Tabitha Chawinga here at Leigh Sports Village tonight, has become a key player for Manchester United this term and Skinner said: “Jayde has the capacity to be one of the, if not the, best right-back in the world. The next part of Jayde’s growth is just that consistency of being able to do it on a weekly basis. And I think she’s such an expressive full-back, it’s hard to keep doing that.

“When she’s electric, honestly, nobody can live with her. So I’m really looking forward to her growth. But I also understand the natural curve of somebody’s performances and how they grow. So she’s in really good form and I’m looking forward to the extra development she’ll make throughout these next few seasons.”

Here’s a piece on OL Lyonnes, the opponents of Manchester United this evening and eight-time champions in this competition:

The Manchester United head coach, Marc Skinner, has hailed OL Lyonnes as Europe’s best team but urged his side to take the game to the eight-time European champions in Leigh on Wednesday.

Skinner’s team are a point behind the French club in the Women’s Champions League table after winning three of their first four matches in their debut campaign at this stage of the competition, meaning they have secured at least a knockout-phase playoff spot.

Both sides hope to finish in the top four to progress automatically to the quarter-finals, and Skinner said: “We’re playing the best team in Europe. I know Barcelona are up there as well, but Lyon have the capacity to be the best team in Europe, so we’re going to need them [the fans], and what I want Lyon to feel tomorrow is the force that Manchester United are and can become.

“Lyon have the ability to create something from nothing in any moment of the game. We have to concentrate and be at our very best. If we defend for the whole game, Lyon will win.”

He added: “We can’t just sit off them. We’ve got to be very respectful of that. We must attack. We’re at home and we look forward to trying to give ourselves that quality going forward too.”

The other English club and the defending champions Arsenal played yesterday. They faced a resolute FC Twente, find out how they got on:
