On the hostile reception for Mohammed Kudus, Joe Pearson messaged in to say:
“It’s interesting how supporters treat former players. Most get booed, a few get cheered. Take Liverpool for instance. Even after all these years and whatever shirt he’s wearing, Sterling always gets pelters. But I guarantee that when Brighton come to Anfield, one of the biggest cheers will be for James Milner. I guess it depends on the nature of one’s exit.”

It’s goalless at the break.
45+1 min: We’re into two minutes of added time.
44 min: Bowen has moved central now, with Paquetá shifting out onto the right.
43 min: Once again, Kudus is booed in possession and Diouf receives a huge ovation when he steals the ball and plays forward.
40 mins: Bowen sends a looping cross into the box from the right. It looks easy to deal with for Spurs, but Van de Ven waits until the very last second to flick it on to Vicario, almost catching him off guard. The goalkeeper is not happy with the centre-back in the slightest.
39 min: Tottenham have probably been the better team in the last 15 minutes or so, but West Ham have had their chances. Either team could snatch a goal before the break.
37 min: Porro sends a cross into the box and Sarr looks to go for goal but his effort deflects behind.
Nothing comes of the resulting corner.
34 min: Kudus sends a corner into the West Ham box and Diouf heads it behind amid a pile up of players at the back post.
33 min: A pass from Spence is cut out in midfield and a quick pass is played forward to Summerville, who sends the ball across to Ward-Prowse on the right. The midfielder desperately tries to get there in time but can’t quite keep it in play.
30 min: Bergvall receives an overlapping pass from Spence and plays the ball back to Simons in the box, who struggles at first to get it out of his feet.
The summer signing sends a pass back to Bergvall, who looks to cross into a dangerous area but his effort bounces behind for a goal kick.
26 min: Tel is back on his feet and is playing on for now, although he does look to be struggling when running.
25 min: Tel is down with what appears to be a knee injury and looks to be in some discomfort.
22 min: West Ham have a corner. Ward-Prowse plays it short and immediately receives the ball back before crossing it deep in the box to Souček at the back post. The midfielder looks to head it towards goal but Vicario can claim with ease.
19 min: Tottenham have the ball in the net… but it won’t count!
Van de Ven is deemed to have fouled Walker-Peters while a corner was being sent into the box. Romero’s headed effort is therefore ruled out.
18 min: Simons picks up the ball on the left, cuts inside and goes for goal. It looks to be heading wide, but Kilman gets his head to it anyway and deflects the shot behind for a corner.
16 min: This has been a positive start from West Ham. Tottenham haven’t had much of a look-in so far, with Hermansen yet to be tested.
14 min: Just as I say that, Paquetá has the best chance of the game so far! Walker-Peters plays a pass to Bowen on the right, who sends the ball to Paquetá in the box around 10 yards out from goal. The forward takes his shot on the turn and drills it narrowly wide of the right post!
12 min: We haven’t seen too many chances so far in this game, with both goalkeepers yet to be really tested.
9 min: Summerville gets the biggest cheer of the evening so far after blocking a cross from Kudus, who continues to receive a hostile reception from the home supporters.
7 min: Chance for West Ham as Diouf swings a cross in from the left. Bowen looks to head it towards goal but can’t quite get there and the ball flies just over him.
A positive start for the Hammers.
5 min: West Ham look to break forward as a long ball is sent over to Summerville on the left, but there’s a bit too much on it and Vicario can collect.
3 min: Boos echo around the stadium as Kudus receives possession on the right for Tottenham. They then turn into cheers when he runs the ball out of play.
1 min: Bowen looks to be starting on the right for West Ham, with Paquetá in a more central role.
Tottenham attempt to attack early with a long throw into the box, but the ball runs behind for a goal kick.

The 25-year-old starts for the visitors.

As I briefly mentioned earlier, West Ham have banned half-and-half scarves for today’s match. The move is among a number of increased security measures aimed at preventing away supporters from getting into the home sections at the London Stadium for a potentially volatile match.
A statement on the club website read: “West Ham United would like to make supporters aware that enhanced security measures will be in place for Saturday’s match against Tottenham Hotspur. This includes additional checks at turnstiles, restrictions on half-and-half scarves or items illustrating the colours/crests of both clubs and steps to ensure home areas remain for West Ham United fans only.
“We would like to kindly ask all supporters for patience when entering the stadium to allow our staff to perform these checks, especially during the busiest times in the 45 minutes ahead of kick-off.”
Today marks Tottenham’s first match since Daniel Levy’s sudden departure last week. Head coach Thomas Frank revealed yesterday that he held constructive talks with Spurs’ owners following the chairman’s exit and hopes that he will be given a say in the club’s long-term strategy.

Preamble
Hello, good afternoon and welcome to coverage of the Premier League clash between West Ham and Tottenham. There is always a buzz around a London derby and this occasion is no different - we even saw half-and-half scarves banned a few days ago, more on that a bit later on.
West Ham go into the match off the back of their first win of the season, a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. Meanwhile, Spurs’ last Premier League outing saw them lose 1-0 to Bournemouth at home.
